WECCU AFRICA QUARRIES LTD is a family owned business which is based in Ghana West Africa. Our headquarters is at East Legon, Accra, about 48km from the proposed Muete Hills Quarry located at the east in the Greater Accra Region. The strategic purpose of the company is to process and add value to granite stone for sale to the construction and housing industry in the world. WAQ believes in the United Nations sustainable development goal and we structure our operations to foster the achievements of these goals- “ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.”

The Muete Hills granite deposits are part of a crop of inselbergs standing at elevations between 200ft and 500ft contour on the 29.96 acres WAQ land at Asutuare in the Shai Osudoku District Assembly (SODA) area of the Accra Plains in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana.
The deposits are underlain banded garnetiferous gneiss, a metamorphic unit of the Dahomeyan supper group that covers the southeastern part of Ghana. The rocks are granular, crystalline, siliceous, hard, competent, and banded. The queryable quantity is estimated to be more than 12million MT
